1-  Can you tell us a little about your position and the activities of France Supply Chain (FSC)?

I’m Valérie Macrez, and I’m used to saying that I have the privilege of leading the France Supply Chain Association on an operational level, meaning that this association is truly governed by its members. I also have the pleasure of leading or co-leading, as we’re all stakeholders, a team of permanent staff at the service of our members, always.

The association federates 5,000 members from 450 companies and schools, with the shared ambition of strengthening the impact of the Supply Chain on corporate competitiveness, and making it a lever for a more sustainable world. How do we achieve this? By sharing experiences and best practices, by working together on projects that go beyond the company’s perimeter, by helping each other and by producing resources that provide concrete solutions for all Supply Chain players.

2-  FSC joined the CNE this year as a member of its 6th sector (Other companies and associations): could you tell us why FSC supports the CNE and its actions?

In 2023, at the request of our members, we set up a self-help and sharing community dedicated to Packaging issues. This community is an expresion of our SupplyChain4Good LAB, which works on all aspects of sustainability. We felt it was essential to bring together professionals from packaging, distribution, production, research, etc., in order to advance thinking on the specific subject of packaging, and who better than the CNE to enrich our knowledge and even work together?

3-  Can you tell us about your Packaging Community and how its missions/actions are consistent with the Right Packaging concept dear to the CNE?

The members of the Packaging Community share their experience of deploying innovative projects, or benefit from the testimonies of researchers, whether from the point of view of eco-design, flow redesign or the need for traceability. The aim of this community is not the absolute pursuit of economic performance, but to enable the deployment of packaging solutions that are more sober, circular and globally sustainable. This is where our values converge with those of the CNE’s “Right Packaging” initiative.
